Ready Stays Maintenance Emergencies
The following issues are considered emergencies and should be reported for emergency services to the Ready Stays team:
Water & Plumbing
- Flooding/major leaks (from appliances, plumbing, or roof)
- Burst pipes
- Sewer backup or overflowing toilet (if there’s only one bathroom)
- No running water in the apartment
- Hot water not working at all
Electrical
- Power outage in the apartment (if not caused by the utility company)
- Burning smell
from outlets or electrical panels - Exposed wiring or sparking outlets
Heating & Cooling
- No heat during cooler temperatures (temperature must be below 60° F)
- No air conditioning during warmer temperatures (temperature must be above 80° F)
- Non-functioning thermostat when affecting overall temperature control
Security & Safety
- Broken entry door lock or inability to secure the rental
- Broken window or exterior door that compromises safety or allows weather inside
- Elevator malfunction (if trapped, call emergency button or 911)
- Non-functioning smoke or carbon monoxide detectors
