Melanie Atkinson, realtor for Smith & Associates, noted that the weather in Florida is one of its biggest draws, but that “Tampa has been overlooked for many, many years.” She went on to say that people are discovering the beauty of the Bay, and the amount of money put into growing both Tampa and St. Petersburg is definitely paying off. Redfin economist Taylor Marr stated that moving across country “is now easier for many Americans” and that the “cultural shift is here to stay”. What’s more, shows like Netflix’s Selling Tampa are highlighting the area as a serious option to consider when deciding where to live, by showing off all that the city has to offer.
